Creamy vegan Alfredo sauce! If you’re in the market for a vegan, gluten free, paleo and dairy free Alfredo pasta sauce, this recipe is for you! The sauce is made with just a couple simple ingredients and tastes so dang good! Read on for the recipe.
Ingredients:
1 cup raw cashews
1 cup water
1 TBS lemon juice
1 TBS minced garlic
3 TBS nutritional yeast (for that cheesy flavor!)
1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
Add all of your ingredients to a high speed blender or food processor and blend/process until smooth, creamy and warm.
Taste your sauce and add more salt, garlic or lemon juice if needed. You could also add some jalapeño for a nice kick!
Pour sauce over cooked pasta of choice.
Stir in any desired ingredients. We like adding cooked protein (like chicken breast slices or tofu) and steamed broccoli or peas!
Enjoy immediately!
Recipe Notes:
If you don’t have a high speed blender or food processor use 1/2 cup cashew butter instead of the raw cashews and blend together your sauce in a regular blender.
If using a food processor or weaker blender, soak your cashews for at least an hour before using so they’re easier to process/blend.
