Strawberry Chocolate Dessert Pizza ! Vegan, gluten free and refined sugar free! Made with homemade chocolate sauce, fresh coconut whipped cream, ripe strawberries, vegan/gluten free pizza crust and simple strawberry sauce, this dessert pizza will blow you away. Use sugar free maple syrup to keep if sugar free if necessary!
Ingredients:
pizza crust of choice (I used Zeia Foods original gluten, dairy, nut and soy free pizza crust)
1 (14) oz can full fat coconut milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 TBS maple syrup plus an additional 2 TBS maple syrup
2 TBS cocoa powder
1/4 cup sliced strawberries
strawberry syrup (I used @wabrysyrup no sugar added strawberry syrup)
Directions:
Place your can of full fat coconut milk in the fridge overnight or for at least 6 hours.
Meanwhile, prepare/bake your pizza crust.
After 6+ hours, remove your coconut milk from the fridge and carefully open the can with a can opener. Gently remove the coconut cream from the can with a spoon (the coconut cream will naturally separate from the coconut milk when it’s cold and sit on top). Make sure you only get the cream and not the milk. The milk will be clear and the cream is bright white!
Whip the coconut cream in a large bowl with a hand-mixer until fluffy.
Add in 2 TBS maple syrup and 1 tsp vanilla and whip again until smooth.
In another bowl, mix together your homemade chocolate sauce until smooth (mix 2 TBS maple syrup with 2 TBS cocoa powder).
Spread your homemade chocolate sauce over your pizza crust and then top with a layer of homemade coconut whipped cream or coconut cool whip.
Top with sliced strawberries and drizzle with remaining chocolate sauce and strawberry sauce.
Enjoy immediately!
