Raw brownie bites! Need a last minute healthy holiday treat? These raw brownie bites are vegan, gluten free, paleo, dairy free and sweetened only with dates! They’re so easy to make, super delicious, and so fudgy! They’re a perfect healthy (yet delicious) holiday breakfast or dessert!
Here’s how to make them!
Ingredients:
1 cup walnuts
1/4 cup walnut butter
10 pitted medjool dates
1/2 tsp salt (if using unsalted nut butter)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup cocoa powder
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a food processor and process until smooth. It will take a couple minutes.
Test the batter. It should be able to roll into balls without falling apart. If it’s too dry, add more nut butter. If it’s too oily, add more cocoa powder and keep processing until you reach the desired consistency.
Roll into balls using the palms of your hand and store in a glass container or dish.
Enjoy immediately or refrigerate until serving.
Enjoy within a week or freeze for later use. Store in the fridge!
Holiday Tip:
Add a drop of peppermint extract for a chocolate peppermint flavor and roll balls in (or add to the batter) crushed candy canes!
Recipe Notes:
You can use other nuts and nut butter instead of walnuts if you want. You will just probably need to add more nut butter to help everything stick together.
You can try using chocolate protein powder instead of cocoa powder for a protein filled treat!
