Pumpkin Spice Turmeric Latte

Pumpkin spice turmeric latte! Have you guys ever tried turmeric? Turmeric is a spice well known for its medicinal benefits. It’s anti-inflammatory, high in antioxidants, and is known to help lower your risk of heart disease. It’s a wonderful superfood that makes food look and taste delicious! Turmeric lattes are all the rage right now (also know as Golden Milk Lattes). I had never had one until recently and they’re so good! I dressed up my turmeric latte by making it PUMPKIN SPICE and I loved it. You have to try this out!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk of choice (I used almond)

  • 2 TBS honey or maple syrup (or try stevia to keep it sugar free!)

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice

  • 1 TBS pumpkin puree

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric

  • 1/8 tsp ginger

  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Heat milk in a small saucepan over low heat.

  2. Add sweetener of choice, pumpkin purée and spices and whisk until smooth.

  3. Pour into a mug and top with coconut whipped cream and sprinkle with turmeric/pumpkin pie spice.

  4. Enjoy!

Variation Ideas:

  • omit the pumpkin purée and pumpkin spice if you want a typical turmeric latte

  • omit the turmeric for a plain pumpkin spice milk latte (just add 1 extra TBS pumpkin purée)

  • omit the pumpkin purée/pumpkin spice and turmeric for a cozy and warm spiced milk rink
