Peppermint mocha smoothie, anyone? We’re huge peppermint and mocha fans over here so I thought this smoothie flavor combination would be a hit…and it was! It super easy to make and full of delicious flavor. It’s the perfect Christmas morning breakfast in my opinion! Read on for the recipe.
Ingredients:
1 cup milk of choice
1/3 cup canned full fat coconut milk
1.5 frozen bananas
2 pitted dates
2 TBS cocoa powder
1 scoop unflavored protein powder (optional — I used pea protein)
2 tsp instant coffee/handful of coffee beans
Tiny drop of peppermint extract
Directions:
Add everything to a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into a glass and top with coconut whipped cream and crushed candy cane.
Enjoy immediately!
Recipe Notes/Variations:
Try unsweetened, plain yogurt in the place of canned coconut milk.
Use chocolate protein powder instead of unflavored protein powder and omit the dates.
Use more instant coffee/beans for a stronger mocha taste!
Use only 1/2 – 3/4 cup milk if omitting the protein powder.
