5 ingredient, no-bake peanut butter chocolate bars! Vegan, gluten free, paleo and keto/sugar free friendly! These peanut butter chocolate bars are so easy to make and simply irresistible! You can also use any other nut butter you like. Sugar free recipe adaptions below the recipe!
Ingredients:
1 cup almond flour
1/4 cup + 2 TBS peanut butter
1/4 cup plant based milk
1/2 tsp salt (see recipe notes)
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix together your almond flour, peanut butter, milk and salt.
Stir together until a mixture forms and holds together. If it’s too wet, add more nut butter and almond flour. It it’s too dry and crumbly, add more milk.
Line a small baking dish or loaf pan with parchment paper and add your peanut butter mixture to the dish/pan.
Press the mixture down with your hands until a firm crust is created. Make the crust as thin or thick as you want!
Meanwhile, melt your chocolate chips in the microwave or on the stovetop over low heat. I like to add 1 tsp coconut oil to the chocolate chips to thin the chocolate out a bit and help it not to burn.
Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter mixture and spread with a knife until smooth and evenly distributed.
Refrigerate the peanut butter bars for at least 30 minutes before serving.
To serve, simple remove the parchment paper and bars from the dish/pan and slice!
Store in the fridge for 1 week or freezer for 2-3 months.
Notes:
if your nut butter is unsalted, add 1 tsp salt to the recipe
for a sweeter crust, add 2 TBS honey/maple syrup to the peanut butter mixture
