Who’s down for a healthy “snickers bar” shake?! If you’re feeling a little low, this is the perfect pick me up! Sometimes the hubby and I just need a little sweet treat to end (or start 🤣) our day. This healthy “snickers bar” shake is one of our all time favorites. If you’re craving something sweet, you’ve got to try it.
Here’s the recipe!
Ingredients:
4 ripe bananas (frozen if possible)
3 cups unsweetened almond milk (or regular milk works)
4 dates (or 2 TBS maple syrup)
3 TBS cocoa powder
2 TBS hemp seeds (optional, see notes)
3 TBS peanut butter
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup peanuts
Directions:
Combine everything in a high speed blender (I use a Vitamix) and blend until smooth.
Pour into two glasses and top with additional chopped peanuts and chocolate. You could also drizzle some melted chocolate on top if you wanted (or top with whipped cream)!
Enjoy and share!
Allergy Notes:
If you’re allergic to peanuts, you can use any other nuts and nut butter.
If you’re allergic to nuts, sunflower seeds butter and sunflower seeds work great!
If you don’t have hemp seeds, just add more peanut butter instead or use chia/flax seeds.
