Healthy mocha shake anyone? This shake is gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free, vegan, and paleo! You have to try it out – it’s my new favorite.
I was craving a rich, chocolate dessert when I whipped this up – and boy does it hit the spot. It’s sooo good! You can make it a shake or more like a pudding! I prefer it like a pudding, but Derek likes it thin enough to drink. Try it whichever way sounds best to you!
Ingredients:
4 ripe bananas (ideally frozen)
1/4 cup nut butter (almond or PB is delicious!)
2 TBS cocoa powder
1 1/3 cup milk of choice (we used unsweetened almond milk)
2-4 dates (depending how sweet you want it!)
1/4 cup coffee beans (or 1 1/3 cup cold brewed coffee – don’t use milk if you’re using brewed coffee)
1/2 tsp vanilla (optional)
Directions:
Combine everything in a high speed blender and blend until smooth
Pour into 2 glasses and top such chopped chocolate & coffee beans
Chill until serving or serve right away
Notes:
Use more or less milk depending on how thin/thick you want the shake to be!
Use tahini instead of nut butter if you’re allergic to nuts!
Serve in a wineglass to feel a little more fancy!
