Happy December! I’m celebrating the start of December with a homemade chai tea latte. It’s vegan, gluten free, paleo and nut free! You can also make it sugar free and keto friendly if you like! If you love chai, you’re going to love this! You can also make it a dirty chai by adding a shot of espresso! Get the recipe!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups milk of choice
1/2 cup hot water (or coffee for a dirty chai)
2 bags chai tea
2 TBS honey or maple syrup (or try liquid stevia to keep it sugar-free)
Whipped cream and cinnamon to top
Directions:
Add two tea bags to 1/2 hot water or coffee and steep for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat your milk until hot. (Optional — froth your milk!).
Remove your tea bags from the hot water/coffee and stir in 2 TBS honey/maple syrup (or stevia).
Slowly add your warmed milk and stir to combine.
Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon!
