I’m all about easy, healthy and tasty smoothies. They make delicious breakfasts or treats and help to satisfy my sweet tooth. Plus, they’re so easy on my digestion! If you’re an apple pie or apple crisp fan, you have to try this out. Here’s the recipe!
Ingredients:
1/4 – 1/2 cup dairy free milk (depending how thick you want it)
1/2 cup unsweetened yogurt (I used dairy free)
1 medium/large apple, chopped (mine was 200 grams and I used red delicious)
1/3 cup rolled oats
2 pitted dates (or 1 TBS maple syrup/honey)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Vanilla or unflavored protein powder (optional)
Directions:
Add all your ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
Taste your smoothie and add more spices, sweetener, or milk if desired.
Top with coconut whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Enjoy! Serves 1.
Notes:
This smoothie also tastes delicious with some vanilla protein powder. If your protein powder is sweetened, omit the dates/sweetener.
